Stay in your homes, stay healthy and protect society.

The world is reeling from the COVID-19 crisis and the vulnerable segments of our society are the most at risk. As we’re all aware, there’s a restriction on movement across all corners of the world in various cities and countries. To my fellow Australians, I request you to stay in your homes. Let’s together fight this virus by following social distancing norms, good hygiene and the guidelines laid down by the government.

While we are distancing, to protect ourselves, we can still connect with our friends, loved ones and be in touch with the community through various technological means. I have been able to do it successfully, be it my training in dance here in Australia or in the United States, United Kingdom or India, everything through technology. Covid 19 has not deterred or come in my way of learning. As well I have a quality time with family, now that the travel time is cut off from my daily activities and I stay connected with friends through various technological means.

Recently I took to facebook to celebrate Harmony Day a day of special significance to us Australians for we celebrate our differences only to make us a stronger nation and better human beings. I posted one of my ethnic dances as a mark of celebrating this beautiful day.  A time to be innovative, being stronger than ever, compassionate, caring and supporting each other is the need of the hour.

Just like our national flower the Golden Wattle which can withstand any ordeal, let’s be resilient that signifies the true spirit of we as Australians.

Finally, to all the frontline workers and all those serving us in this difficult time a message of gratitude “You are our Superheroes, doing a magnificent job...all we can do is send out positive thoughts. Without you our world would be a sorry place. Thanks a million for everything you are doing. We pray for you and your family’s wellbeing and safety”
