Australia a Country of Belonging - Your pathway to active citizenship

The Australia Day Council of South Australia in partnership with the Multicultural Communities Council of South Australia invited guests to this unique experience.  Offering an opportunity to discover new connections that can enhance a sense of belonging with your local area.

 This event explores

• Australian values based on respect, equality and freedom
• The tiers of Government and the connection between local and state level Government
• Shared rights and responsibilities
• Our diversity and shared national interest
• What it means to contribute to the local community and what it takes to continue to build connected, thriving communities

This is a must for people that are –

• New to the local area
• From a culturally and linguistically diverse background
• New migrants
• Refugees
• New citizens and those have been connected to the community for some time and require further education on what it means to contribute to the local community
