Australia Day Ambassadors
The Australia Day Ambassador Program is an initiative that sees high achieving and proud Australians attend local Australia Day celebrations across the nation. In cities, regional areas and in the country, Australia Day Ambassadors volunteer their time and energy to inspire pride and celebration in hundreds of local communities.

The Australia Day Citizen of the Year Awards
The Australia Day Citizen of the Year Awards are proudly presented by the Australia Day Council of South Australia, the Major Sponsor San Remo and Media Partner Channel 9 and administered by local Councils across South Australia.

State Citizen of the Year Awards
An overall state award will be presented for each category of the Citizen of the Year Awards. This presentation will occur at Government House in the week prior to Australia Day, with presentations made by the sponsor and the Governor of South Australia. All councils are encouraged to forward their winner in each category to be considered for the overall state awards. The closing dates for the state nominations is 15 November 2019 and should be forwarded to the Australia Day Council of South Australia office.

Australia Day Event Organisers Tool Kit
Australia Day is the largest day of national celebration. On Australia Day, 65% of the nation's population attend either an organised community event, or get together with friends with the intention of celebrating our national day.
