Well-known Adelaide personality Michael Angelakis OAM has more than 40 years’ experience in the seafood, poultry and game industry. Former Managing Director of the family business Angelakis Brothers, he is just as well-known as one of the two larger-than-life presenters of the popular TV program Out of the Blue.

Michael has sat on many industry and advisory boards throughout his career, including the South Australian Tourism Commission; chairman of the Seafood Industry Development Steering Committee; member of the Premier’s Food Council and the Federal Australian Fisheries and Seafood Forum.

In 2003 Michael was awarded the Member of the Order of Australia in recognition of his service to the development and promotion of the South Australian seafood, wine, food and tourism industries. He is passionate about the seafood industry, South Australia and most importantly, his family.
