Our Ambassador's 2021 Australia Day Experiences

 On Australia Day 2021, some of our incredible Australia Day Council Ambassadors attended local South Australian Australia Day events.

 

As one of the biggest seasons for the Ambassador Program, 2021 saw our three brand new Australia Day Ambassadors (Joel Bayliss, Professor Alison Mackinnon AM and Kate Swaffer) represent the Australia Day Council at local council events, as well as three of our past Citizen of the Year Award recipients (Ingrid Kennerly, Caitlin and Joseph McMahon). 

After the unpredictable year that was 2020, these Australia Day events provided many councils the opportunity to have their local communities gather for the first time in almost a year to celebrate the hardships overcome, welcome Australia's newest citizens and recognise outstanding local community members. 

 

From welcoming new Australian citizens to attending Citizen of the Year Award ceremonies, our Australia Day Council Ambassadors were able to not only witness, but also be a part of these special local community events.
