Our Inspirational Alumni Championing Inclusion - Dr Trudy Lin

With World Oral Health Day approaching 20 March 2022, Dr Trudy Lin, State Recipient Young Australian of the Year 2022 has been advocating for equal access to oral healthcare for Australians and spreading messages of the importance of oral healthcare for people with disability. Recent events include speaking at the Bright Ideas Summit and for International Women’s Day (image pictured above).

Australians with an intellectual disability are dying 20 years younger than the general population. A leading cause of their premature death is a lung disease caused by inhaling dental plaque. 

Trudy believes that Australians should not be dying prematurely for something that is 100% preventable, so please help her spread the message on
